► Pre-doctoral and Post-doctoral Positions in Theoretical Particle Physics IFIC, CSIC - University of Valencia
3 PRE-DOCTORAL AND 3 POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS IN THEORETICAL PARTICLE PHYSICS
in the framework of an excellence grant, in the field of particle physics phenomenology at colliders: LHC and flavour factories. In addition to the senior members of this excellence grant (Antonio Pich, Jorge Portolés and Germán Rodrigo), the phenomenology group at IFIC includes experts covering many areas of particle physics and a long list of postdoctoral researchers and doctoral students.
The positions are expected to be filled along 2009, with possible immediate incorporation in 2008.
The research topics of our group include NLO corrections for multi-particle processes at hadron and lepton colliders, flavour physics, effective field theories, electroweak symmetry breaking in the Standard Model and beyond, and new physics at the electroweak and GUT scales.
The group coordinates the European Research Training Network FLAVIAnet (http://ific.uv.es/flavianet). Close collaboration exists with the local experimental groups at LHC (ATLAS), and flavour factories (BABAR), and with other experimental groups worldwide.
Predoctoral applicants should provide a curriculum vitae, a brief statement of research interests, and arrange to have at least one letter of recommendation.
Postdoctoral applicants should provide a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a brief statement of research interests, and arrange to have three letters of recommendation.
Applications should be addressed to Antonio Pich and sent electronically to the following e-mail address
e-mail: lhcpheno@ific.uv.es
Deadline: June 1.
